Following its meeting on 23 April 2026, the Belgian Mauritian Business Club committee set out its main priorities and programme of activities for 2026.
Composition of the 2026 Committee
The BMBC Executive Committee is currently composed as follows:

A look back at our activities in 2025–2026
End of the 2025 financial year
We rounded off 2025 with a wine-tasting evening held at 20/Vin on Friday 12 December 2025.
The event was attended by Didier Domaingue, a representative from Switch, and focused on the following topic:
"What solar solutions are available for your home or business?"
Launch in 2026
On Friday 13 February 2026, we held our first meeting of the year, again at 20/Vin, with Silvano de Gennaro, a former scientist at CERN.
The theme of this conference:
‘Quantum physics in our daily lives’
A unique evening combining science, technology, music and fine dining.
Real Estate Conference – Mauritius 2026
On 20 February 2026, we were delighted to welcome Philippe de Beer, founder of Park Lane.
Topic covered:
‘Outlook for the Mauritian property market in 2026 in light of the 2025–2026 Budget’
Institutional presence in Europe
In March 2026, the Economic Development Board continued its European roadshow with a key stop in Brussels.
The BMBC continues to actively support the promotion of Mauritius as a regional hub for investment, business and international residence.
Strategic partnerships
The BMBC is continuing to develop its partnerships with:
- MCCI
- CBL-ACP BE
- CEOI
- CCIFM
These partnerships aim to strengthen economic ties between Belgium, Mauritius and the region.
